Mazda MX-5 Miata
grille installation

Miata front without a grille A standard Miata has a clear view from the front to the radiator. This can result in expensive damage... ...and does not look very good. To protect my Miata's radiator and to give it a bit more aggressive looks, I bought a Buck Diamond Forward Profile Grille. You can find the order form on Buck's web site.
Testing the frille Before starting the installation work, I tested the grille to make sure it fits nice. I removed the license plate holder. This is not really needed, but it makes your life a bit easier when working in front of the air intake. Please notice that if your Miata is 2000 or older, you have to remove its baby teeth. Instruction how to do this can be found on this web site.
Grille installation Clean the spoiler carefully before starting the installation. The grille fits tightly. If you have dirt on the spoiler, you will get scratches on the paint. Lay the grille face down on the spoiler. Put two cable ties through license-plate holes and diamonds in the "topmost row". Put two more cable ties through the grille adjustment pipes (you will get these with your grille) and the bottommost row of diamonds. Fasten the cable ties carefully.
Miata with a grille As you can see, it makes sense to protect the radiator with a nice grille.
Ready! Your Miata looks so much better with the Buck Diamond Forward Profile Grille!
